OPI Tokyo Collection VoxBox

**All polishes, base coat, and top coat were sent to me complimentary from Influenster for testing and review purposes. All opinions are my own.**

Everyone makes mistakes. I think Influenster certainly did when they sent me this VoxBox! I remember taking a survey related to OPI and being super excited, hoping I would finally get something nail polish related (none of my VoxBoxes since my first one have had anything nail). When I got the box, I excitedly tore it open to find… gels? I have never used or even worn a gel polish in my life! I did not even have a light! And, apparently, OPI gels are not super readily available. OPI won’t even sell them to you on their website unless you have a pro account. I do not know what I did to make Influenster think I was the target audience for this, but I’m actually glad it happened. I have had a fear of gel polish and I hope this is the first tiny baby step towards conquering that fear.

Covergirl Peacock VoxBox Review

Note: I received the products in this post complimentary of Influenster for testing purposes!

Covergirl-Peacock-Flare-VoxBox

We are going to take a little break from nail polish to talk about the fourth (possibly fifth?) VoxBox I have ever received: the Covergirl Peacock VoxBox. Once again, no nail polish. Do I need to start restricting myself to only reviewing nail-related things on that site? My first VoxBox got the whole nail-obsession thing down, but not a polish since then. Oh well, because this time around I got to review mascara, the only makeup item besides nail polish that I use on a regular basis!

Breezy VoxBox Review (NOT NAIL RELATED)

Note: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes!

BreezyVoxBox

Hola friends! I decided to make a post about my most recent VoxBox because it had some interesting products in it and because it does include a foot cream, which is kind of nail-related. All together, I received:

  • Profoot Heel Rescue Foot Cream
  • Origins A Perfect World SPF 40 Age-Defense Moisturizer with White Tea
  • Origins A Perfect World Age-Defense Eye Cream with SPF 20
  • Sour Punch Bites Ragin’ Reds
  • Sour Punch Straws Pineapple Mango Chili
  • Head & Shoulders Repair & Protect Anti Dandruff Shampoo
  • Head & Shoulders Repair & Protect Hair & Scalp Conditioner
  • Nair Wax Ready-Strips

Below I will go into detail about each, but I wanted to let you know what all is involved upfront so you can decide whether you want to read further or not. I tried to be as brief as possible in my reviews without compromising on info. I tend to ramble on a lot, trying to cute back on that a little to improve my writing!

Flawless VoxBox Review

Note: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

flawless

Hey guys! I am super excited to share this post with you today, because for the first time ever I got sent stuff to review. Woo! I do love free stuff… Anyway, I signed up for Influenster a few months ago, wrote some reviews, and somehow got myself qualified for a VoxBox. Even better, this VoxBox includes a nail polish which I why I am sharing it here with you guys!

Here is how this post is going to work: I am going to review the nail polish for you first in my usual fashion. Then, under a read more cut, I will write brief reviews of the other stuff I received. Since this is a nail polish blog, I do not want to bog you down with the other things if you don’t want to see them! And if you do, cool, just keep reading. Sound good? Excellent, let’s talk about some Sinful Colors, shall we?

My swatches are over Zoya Get Even base coat. My top coat of choice is Seche Vite.

Sinful Colors Miss Klaws, 2 coats plus top coat

Miss Klaws is the polish I received! She is part of the Kylie Jenner collaboration (or should I say… kollaboration) in the Trend MATTErs line. This polish does have a natural matte finish, which I am not a huge fan of. Matte polishes make me cringe, I look at them and see a chalkboard, which evokes certain unpleasant, spine tingling noises. The color is the only shade of pink I actually like, reddish-pink! Colors like this are perfect for the holiday season and Valentine’s Day (at least, that’s when I want to wear them). It’s such a cheery polish!

Sinful Colors Miss Klaws, 1 coat

The coverage with just one coat is fairly good, there were definitely a few lighter spots. I found it to be a tad uneven, but unlike some matte polishes this doesn’t dry lightning fast so you do have some time to manipulate it. The formula was a really nice consistency, sometimes mattes can be chalky but this one is quite smooth.

klaws2

Sinful Colors Miss Klaws, 2 coats

Two coats gives complete coverage and it did end up drying fairly evenly. If I liked matte nails, I would definitely be comfortable wearing this as is because it has a smooth finish. I cannot stress how easy the formula is, it is probably the best matte polish formula I have ever used, applies just like a good cream polish.

klawscherries

Sinful Colors Miss Klaws, 2 coats plus topcoat; Revlon Cherries in the Snow, 2 coats plus top coat

As excited as I was to receive Miss Klaws, I was fairly certain I had a very similar, iconic polish in my stash already: Revlon Cherries in the Snow. I decided to compare them for you guys because in the bottle they look so similar and on the nail… see for yourself!  Miss Klaws is on my index and middle fingers while Cherries in the Snow is on my ring and pinky fingers. Can you tell a difference? Miss Klaws might be just slightly more red and berry toned than Cherries in the Snow, but the difference is so miniscule. You do not need both. If you don’t have either and want one, I’ve broken it down for you:

Sinful Colors Miss Klaws: Cheaper at $2.99, limited edition, dries matte, opaque in 2 coats

Revlon Cherries in the Snow: more expensive at $5.99 (but Revlon cosmetics are often on offer), in core collection, dries shiny, can be a one-coater (I always do two, but it is opaque in 1)

I will not recommend one or the other because it’s up to your personal preference! If price is your thing, scoop up Miss Klaws while you can. If you like owning classic, iconic shades that also have awesome formulas, Cherries in the Snow is your guy. Regardless, I thank Influenster greatly for giving me the opportunity to try this polish out. It’s actually the first polish of the Kylie Jenner collab I’ve gotten! If you’re interested in everything else I received, read on. If not, thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful rest of your day!
